Detaching stubborn tubing

Post by Tubajug »

Greetings,

I was trying to make a little progress on my project of adding a 4th valve to a baritone by removing all the valve tubing from the section I'm "harvesting". When trying to get one of the tubes off of the 2nd valve, I noticed that the port coming off of the casing goes in really far to the outer tube I was trying to get off. I'm used to those ports only going into the tubes a little ways, but (if you can see in the picture below) this goes way in there, and it's the same on all the tubes. Any suggestions on how to get these off?

I put my torch to it until the solder was soft, but all the grabbing and jiggling I did couldn't get it to budge with all that extra tubing holding it in there. Any other ideas?
