Seems like a very nice feature.
The medium leadpipe makes the Neptune sound like an American BAT and the larger one like a German Kaiser, so two different sounding tubas in one :)

I mostly prefer playing my Neptune with medium leadpipe, fitting the larger one when I want a broader tone for a real contrabass tuba part such as Wagner Ring selection I played earlier this year.

I have been playing a previous model of rudy, not bayreuth and it was awesome....the response and blowing is more free than my kaiser Meister Franz Kaiser...i don't know how is the Bayreuth....i think is better...but i have a question about leadpipes...does a larger mouthpipe allow you to produce a darker sound...?
