Any experiences with ATA and tubas?

Post by Lukowicz »

I might be flying around later on in the summer. I usually fly Southwest because of prices and they've always been super helpful with my horns. They just bought out ATA and start running services with them. Any body fly SW/ATA after the buy-out or before the buy-out?

thanks

I flew ATA three years ago with two (heavy!!) checked tubas. Great people and I didn't get charged for excess baggage. I was told their policy (then) was not to charge to check musical instruments. It may have changed since then.
