Interesting 20J Conversion

Post by TUbajohn20J »

Just stumbled across these. Not exactly sure but it looks like they stuck a 12J or 15J valve section on it. The valve section sits a little high for my taste though and I'm not sure why they didn't just make it a 4 banger. But, I am liking the 2 piece bell they made and grafted together without the ugly seam. The last picture is two 20J's back from their overhaul fresh out of the bubble wrap. Looks like they made those upright bells as well. Interesting stuff.

Ah. Most likely Weril then. Because I think this is in Brazil and they have lots of Werils down there for some reason.

I would think so, as Weril is in Brazil - São Paulo or nearby, I think. I wondered if this was Brazilian, they seem to do stunts with tubas and big saxophones that no one else would think of, and there's a local market for it.
