Viva Voce - new CD by Sotto Voce Tuba Quartet

I heard a little of Sotto Voce's new CD entitled "Viva Voce: The Quartets of John Stevens" on a listening post at Tower Records by Lincoln Center (thanks for putting this CD where people can hear what a tuba quartet can sound like, Richard!) and I was floored! Not only was the ensemble and individual playing absolutely top-notch, but I heard a real depth of musical expression and imagination that pulled me in as a listener. Transitions flowed seamlessly. Intonation and balance was impeccable. Sotto Voce has truly done John Stevens a great service just as Mr. Stevens has done a great service for the tuba world all these years.
