I was asked to play a walking bass line for "Take the A Train" by some buddies. Unfortunately I am horrible at reading lead sheet notation...which is what they gave me. Does anyone have any advice where I might find an already written out version ?? This is a last minutes thing and I do not really have the time to hack it out on staff paper ( not to mention I dont trust myself trying that)
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Hey Jay,
This is also one of my huge weaknesses. I got the advice of Frank Ortega to take a few lessons with Paul Scott to learn this stuff. I'm starting my new job soon, so as soon as that 2nd paycheck (1st has a home already) comes in, I'm there. You should check it out. I have his contact info, if you want it, contact me.
