International shank?

Post by Ken Crawford »

When ordering a new receiver from Alexander for a 164, they only offer what they call an "international" shank size. Is that pretty much the standard PT size shank, somewhere between Euro and American?

I was told by Alexander that when they did major tuba updating in the early 2000s was that they made their receivers to take the PT line of tuba mouthpieces. So "Euro" is a good way to think of it.
