Alexander Tuba Question
Can someone tell me the difference between an Alex model 155 and model 157 F tuba. Thank you.

From looking at their web site, it looks like the 155 is a five valve, with a thumb operated fifth valve and the 157 is a 4+2 six valve horn. The other specs appear identical.

Yes, one is 5 valves the other 6 - that's the only difference. The 156 model is the 3 + 3 Viennese fingering system. If ordering a 5 valve model, they'll make the fifth valve to your preference. 6 valve tubas in general are a bit more stuffy and not always worth having the extra valve.
