If you could order a custom built "vintage" Mirafone 4v CC 186, what would you want done differently to what a factory produced model would be like??? Then, if you care to speculate, what would you call a good price to buy it? Not a restoration of one that had been beat to hell then patched up - one that had never been finished at the factory.
This is a "live question" as it could be done.

The brass in tubas is like a marriage. Over time, some are great when the copper and zinc atoms get along for years, decades, and in some cases, centuries. Other times, they aren't, and the metal, like a marriage, falls apart when one decides not to support the other anymore and leaves, a bit at a time over time, leaving literal as well as metaphorical holes in the other which is then forced to support the tuba with no help.
