Only three times for me! Well, maybe four
Re: It's Official - No More Sleigh Ride for 2018
I actually still like Sleigh Ride and although I have not played it anywhere near as many times as some folks have played The Nutcracker, I have played it a lot.ronr wrote:Only three times for me! Well, maybe four
Just another milestone for a tuba player.

Playing Wade Rackley's arr tonight (2 euphs playing trumpet parts). It's one of the crowd's favorites.

Slay ride with a walking bass is kinda fun.
Don't forget to substitute the horse whinny at the end with an elephant trumpet!

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Not here, either! Completely avoided it this time around. Heck, even none of the medleys quoted it! Banner year!

Instead of a horse whinny, it would sound like an angry, rogue elephant.bloke wrote:Yesterday, I was asked if I would consider playing the horse whinny at the end.

The "whip crack" sound could suggest cruelty to animals. Should this work be banned?

Oddly enough, that sound technically is known as a “trumpet”

No, but in the late 60s early 70s I had a collection of Odd Rods trading cards!!bloke wrote:Has anyone played this version?
The choir director (slapstick) and organist (jingle bells) got into the act yesterday.
