Mouthpiece question
I have a question regarding the differences between mouthpieces. I play a St Petersburg Bb tuba. There is a solo I am considering playing where I have to hit a high Eb and a high F. I was wondering if whether there are mouthpieces on the market that make it easier to play the higher notes? I currently am using the Rose mouthpiece that came with the tuba.

Re: Mouthpiece question
PT-82 or Yamaha Jim Self work GREAT for that horn. Those notes will come out like butter.

Re: Mouthpiece question
I typically would not advise changing equipment unless if it is a necessity. Does your current mouthpiece inhibit you in anyway? If you are set on a new mouthpiece I would recommend a bowl shaped cup which will help give you some more control on the rotary valve tubas like a PT72 or similar. Good luck!
