Aurora - Fantastique from memory

Don't suppose most of you outside the UK got to see this from last summer's BBC Prom season.
Hopefully this link will work OK.
This is the end obvs but they performed the whole work from memory, then stuck on masks in the last movement. The idea was to bring the work to life - interested to hear people's thoughts.
Aurora have gained a good reputation playing works from memory. Some will say it's a gimmick but it is finding favour with audiences.

As an aside, one or both the Tubists plays a heck of a high Bb =)

That is really amazing. I have a hard enough time memorizing a 16 bar melody. I can't imagine trying to memorize the violin part to a whole symphony.

Agreed. A whole lot of extra work went into that...
