"Mill Stream"

Post by mbeastep »

Could somebody possibly scan me the third part from "Down by the Old Mill Stream" in the old Miraphone book of American Favorites by Rodger Vaughn? Both my third book and the score have disappeared in my recent move. I would buy the entire third book if possible, but I no longer use anything but Mill Stream from the book. My quartet is going into a seniors' home to honor a very accomplished and loved local tubist, Dave Otto, who is in his upper eighties, and I think the Mill Stream would work very well there. Thanks for your help.

Got it, thank you. These books did a lot to encourage people to play tuba ensembles, as they were well scored, tuneful and not too hard. The material is still available through Cimarron Press, minus the Miraphone information and apparently with some degree of revision. It appears that the two versions of the American Favorites might not be interchangeable.
