Hey Bruce -

Did the gold-plated rim make your 983 sound better? :P

QUICK turnaround. The rim & cup option is cheaper than the full plating services that most other platers only offer, and is all you really need if you have silver allergies or just want a smooth slippery gold rim. I have had three pieces done in the last two years and have been very pleased with the quality of their results. They will only buff the mouthpiece as much as actually necessary; I did not notice any significant rim alteration as I have seen from one other shop. Oh, and I almost forgot, QUICK turnaround. :)

P.S. As much as I prefer the feel of gold over silver, I now believe that nothing beats Stainless Steel.
