70? Seven zero?

Damn! Congrats, that's a lot of hard work. I can see it in your face, but maybe post a body shot?

James, be proud, that's a hell of a thing. I don't know how old you are (30 or so?), but what a great gift to yourself and your family. Weight is a funny thing, and a lifelong commitment. Not to mention, weight and poor health don't have to mean the same thing, people are just different sizes.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Good work.

BTW, I might have said it before, but I think Alan Baer had a similar transformation. Seems to have worked okay for him, too!

Haven´t had opportunity to watch that clip yet, but probably will later this day.
Congrats on the work You invest into Your health.
At 6´4" and 290 lb, i´m in the process of doing the same, though maybe with less rigor than You´ve shown. And I´m not so much working to loose weight (BMI is a stupid concept, IMHO), but rather getting fitter and reducing fat percentage.
What I´ve been doing over the past 12 weeks:
- less raffinated Sugars over the day, A LOT more water.
- Good homemade food, few processed ingredients.
- 1-2 hour workout including dumbbells about 2 to 3 times a week.
- 3 to 7 hour hiking tours (roundtrips totaling up to 5000 ft in altitude) about once a week. Extensive walks daily.

Now that covid19-induced measures have been taken back (home office, reduced working Hours down to 3 days a week => now back to normal), the hiking part is cancelled, walks and good Nutrition are compromised.
Will have to figure out a way to get back on track on those…

Socks and shoes are easier to put on already, but I still have a long way to go.
Breathing has improved.
Funny side effect: shoulder strap secures the Tuba better on a more defined shoulder with developed deltoids. I seriously find myself readjusting that strap less frequently than a couple of weeks ago 8) .
Big traps are counterproductive in that repect, though...

Good for you!

Weight loss is not easy.

(My family thinks it was easy for me, because I took off 50 pounds that I'd maintained stable for 20 years, and have kept it off the past 2 now. No, it wasn't easy, glad I did it though.)

Check out:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_ ... l_Registry" target="_blank

The National Registry is a list of 10,000 people who've lost the weight and kept it off. Interesting thing, most all failed with multiple approaches until they hit the one that worked for them. It was a very individual thing and the same diet does not work for everyone.
