If 3 are 25% less stuffy than 4;

Valves- can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em... :shock:
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

:lol: I was surprised by the "no" option. On a tuba site especially. It obviously recognizes that slides are the only way to really play in tune. :o

It would be nice to have a proper slick short slide -- maybe a step? -- to go along with the valves. That might be too much more non-conical tubing to add, though.
