I've just received a Bb Helicon from Ukraine and am trying to get more info on it. From what I've read I'm pretty sure it was made in Ukraine, except all the sources I've seen on this model of tuba say that it's unmarked (I also haven't seen this model tuba with this much remaining nickle so maybe they've worn away on others). As shown in the second picture, there's a very small logo and number with make date. It's right on the bell facing what would be the audience but is about invisible from 5 feet away. The tuning is remarkably not bad, easily manageable. My left hand sits really nicely on the 1st valve slide (which can comfortably pull out almost a half step) and I can adjust the main right next to it as well.
I know Wolfgang Rabensteiner uses one in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yilOvZyPXk" target="_blank
I've heard that Rabensteiner says there's no markings on his as well, maybe it's worn off? It's a very faint mark to begin with and even mine's partially gone. If BigTubby sees this, does yours have this mark on it?
If you have any info on it please send it by. If you have a similar one, send pictures, let your helis shine!

I was thinking a lot of these were made at the Kiev radio factory. I'll have to check mine for a mark.
