Where to get Old plastic Miraphone microball linkage parts

Post by Kris_Da_Bali_Guy »

I have an issue that I just can't figure out.

So I have a Mirafone 186 from I believe the 70's and it has the older linkage style that has little plastic bulbs that go over balls pinned into lever arm and valve and have a threaded screw at the head for adjustment. these plastic bulbs thread onto the linkage arms and they seem to be the modern arms that are used on the most recent 186 models.

I can't find any pictures online of other instruments with this linkage style. I've only seen it on instruments like older trombones.

I don't think I'd be able to use the modern available option miraphone offers because It doesn't seem the ball is made to come out of the body of the uni-ball linkage itself

Your local repair shop can get them through Allied Supply if you wish to avoid shipping charges.
