c1910 York Bb Helicon

Post by leecowherd »

Just got this horn from a friend. She acquired it nearly 20 years ago from a lady in Cincinnati whose husband was principal tuba with the Cinci Symphony years before that. I don't know the name of the earlier owner, but the bell is engraved with "Arthur Fosse". There was an Arthur Fosse in Cincinnati who would've been of an age to get this horn new, but I can't find out anything about him.

I don't have the neck or bits so I haven't been able to play it, but I've got a friend who might be able to help me find or make something. I can't wait to give it a try!
