Microphone placement
I recently bought a zoom h6 pre-2020 version and was wondering where good placement of the microphone is for best tone. I dont know the physics of it how tubas project, so I was asking for any advice.

I like to place the microphone about 5-6 feet above the bell, if possible.

There is no generic answer, you need to experiment to find what works for your purpose in your room.
