I brought my G-50 to him for repair. He had me play his version - he fixed some quirks of the G-50 which improved it so much that I had them do the modifications on my horn. His horn is great!

Lee Stofer's horns are not copies. They are an improvement to Getzen's design, and Lee bought all the parts directly from Getzen. I brought my CB-50 to him to do his modifications and it made the horn MUCH better.

Agreed. Lee took the time to address all the details that were never fully flushed out when these instruments were being manufactured, and all the "shortcuts" that Getzen took in the construction of these instruments. The result easily takes (in my case) what was previously a good instrument to and excellent instrument.
