Applications were reviewed by qualified panelists knowledgable in performing arts, including performers, presenters, and community arts representatives. Performers were then selected based on artistic excellence, performance and touring experience, as well as professionalism in management and marketing/promotion. Eligible organizations that select performers for the Directory may receive funding to support their presentation of the performers.
Ralph Hepola was also an April 2021 Missouri Arts Council Featured Artist. Most recently, Ralph won a major grant from John Stites Jazz Awards in Michigan, which funded a May 2024 tour of Illinois and Michigan.
