Seeking F Loaner NYC April - May 10, 2025

Post by BrassoProfundo »

Adam Rosenberg here, principal tubist of QUO, a high performing NYC community orchestra, past student of Pat Landolfi (NJS), Don Harry (NYPO, Juilliard, Eastman), Sam Pilafian (EBQ, Tanglewood).

I seek a loaner F tuba for the six weeks leading to QUO's May 10, 2025 Brooklyn concert, featuring Michael Torke’s COPPER for brass quintet and orchestra. COPPER's quintet tuba part ranges to F above the bass clef, better fitting an F (or Eb) tuba than my Cerveny Kaiser BBb frankentuba. I and QUO are one of NYC's more accomplished avocational orchestras. Here I am with QUO's low brass section and Sasha Romero, Met Opera Orchestra, after her solo performance with us of John Macke's HARVEST.

I promise to treat your horn with all the love and respect it deserves and is worth, and am happy to comp you to the concert (https://www.queerurbanorchestra.org/tickets/). Unfortunately, I don't have a real rental budget.

All inquiries, leads, suggestions welcome.

Appreciatively,
Adam Rosenberg
