Just moved back to Chicago. I have been hunting around the internet looking for community ensembles, but haven't had much luck finding any groups with vacancies. Looking at orchestras and wind ensembles/concert bands.
I was wondering if anybody who plays in the area knew of any groups looking for tuba.
Thanks for reading!
Any Chicago ensembles looking for tubas?

I use to play with the Glenview Concert Band before I moved further out to Crystal Lake. Check out their site http://www.glenviewband.org/. Last I heard they were looking for Tuba players.
Hope this helps.

Although the post to which I'm referring you is a year and a half old, Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band is definitely looking for a tuba player.
Please say hi to Howard Green, the conductor, for me.
Good luck,
Steve Marcus
