Army Band Overture 1812 Web-cast

Post by brattom »

Hello all,

Tomorrow evening at 8:00 p.m. EDT The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" will be performing our annual "Overture 1812" Concert from the grounds of the Washington Monument. The concert will be web-cast with both audio/video and audio feeds. As is the case with most of our web-casts, QuickTime Player 6.0 or greater is required. Go to www.usarmyband.com for more info.

This concert is the second biggest concert we give each year (just behind the Tuba Conference Grand Concert :), and will be the first TUSAB 1812 Concert for our new commander, Col. Thomas Rotundi. So check it out!

Thanks
Tom Bratten

I hope you realize how lucky you are to Have Tom Rotondi as your commander. One of the best musicians the military has and a GREAT all-around guy.

Our high school band got to do the 1812 Overture at a concert in the park with real cannons. We got a big bang out of that!

I heard the concert on the webcast. It was great! I just wish I could have been in D.C. to witness it there.
