I especially like SharpEye - scanning in the sheet music without having to transcribe it all by hand is a plus.

Well... Don't count on any sheet music scanning product too much. You may spend more time fixing scanning errors than you would have spent entering the music in the first place.

It depends. SharpEye is about the best scanning product for sheet music I've ever found. Far, far better than the products that accompany Sibelius and Finale.

You can also take the NIFF output and import it into any notation editor that understands that format.

Overall, it's a pretty nice piece of software - the only issue I've run into is scanning in music that's more than one page. I can't find a way to combine scan. Other than that, I give it a thumbs up.

Ah, that's easy.

You can use the "Batch Process" menu option to convert a bunch of TIFFs into .MRO files. Then, use "Open Music" to open the first page of your score (and open the image file that goes along with it using "Open Image").

When you're ready for the next page, just do another "Open Music"; Sharp Eye will ask you if you want to overwrite your previous work or append to it. Select "Append" and you'll see that the next page has been added to your work. The image file should track automatically, so you don't need to open the second image page explicitly.

When you're done, just save the result.
