There was a terrible tragedy that occurred when the Chippewa Falls High School Band was returning from its performance at the 2005 WSMA Wisconsin State Marching Band Competition at UW-Whitewater this past Saturday.

One of the buses ended up hitting a jackknifed eighteen-wheeler. Several adults perished including a band director and student teacher.

Please keep all those in Chippewa Falls in your thoughts and prayers in this time of loss and grief.
