I am not sure what you might be interested in exactly as to solo or for a section and to what skill level you are looking at but I have found that most of the original compositions by Robert W Smith have a bit of challenge, are extremely well scored, interesting and typically have some very nice tuba parts with Band.

Aldo Rafael Forte - "Dance Rhapsody" for Tuba and Band
Tonal, programmable, doesn't get too high but it stays up at the top of the staff for a few long passages. Definitely built for F tuba. Doable on CC I'm sure, but I wouldn't try it. Premiered by Andy Rummel and the Air Force band up at Langley, he played the bejeezus out of it. Only a few years old, hasn't been done to death.
Best part: Available at Tuba Press right now.
