The 3+1P compensating euphoniums are pretty much standard among pro’s and upper end amateurs.

We may discuss Hirshy versus Willson versus Courtois versus Besson versus Yamaha ad infinitum. My only comment will be, that my YEP-641 is NOT for sale.

However midlevel students and a lot of good amateurs would be well served with good 3+1 non-compers. By the kind help of a former student I have obtained good photo documentations of both of the most widespread models.
