I had a Musica euph two years ago that was a terrific horn. I have a 'Grand' (same origin as the Musica) trombone in the shop now that is a real piece of cr*p. You can't depend on the quality from one horn to the next. You need to go play the tuba and maybe get a trial of a couple of weeks before you plunk down your money.

Folks, the poster had emailed me and I suggested to him that he put his question up on Tubenet. He lives near Victoria, and would like someone to evaluate his instrument. He even offered to ship it to me for evaluation, and I know several in Houston or San Antonio who might be able to help him out and who are vastly more qualified to look over his instrument than I am.
