Madsen concerto

Post by jtuba »

So, I was browsing Robert King and saw they had the Madsen concerto for sale. I ordered it, being familiar with the Sonata and liking the musical language. Does anybody know this piece at all?

yes, I performed this piece on my senior recital back in 96. I really like the piece. It is in 4 movements with no break in between. The technical demands are on the moderately advanced level and the range I believe goes from low f to high g above the staff. I is more sutiable for F tuba although I performed on CC at the time. I think you will like it and find it worth your time learning it.
