had the time to spend with two of these at Midwest (before and after the exhibitions were open) and it is a VERY good F tuba. Intonation is dead on with a great low register and an easy playing high register that slots really well. The only notes that are off by a little are the D's, played 1&2. Playing them 3rd valve or pulling the 1st slide brings this in and it is not far off to begin with. All-in-all it is one of the best F tubas I've played and apparently the community thinks so as well since they are flying out of the store. We just ordered 9 more.
Just my $0.02
Can anyone comment on the Miraphone 281?
