Give Don Sawday at Sawday and Holmes Music a call in Signal Hill (by Long Beach). I have taken several horns to Don and Jim Self had his 1950's King Tuba he played in college overhauled by them(according to his website). I know Don has done a lot of restorations for schools and such. He has onsite plating and is a very nice guy to deal with. He is reasonable in my experience as well.
