The case the PT-6 is in is my old case for my PT-1. I was seeing if it would fit, but it wouldn't close! Damn! I didn't figure it would, but it was worth a try. Looks like my dad is gonna get me a Walt Johnson case, woohoo!
Hank, I got the 2 PMs you sent me with all the questions - I answered you back by sending you an email to the address in your account. It sent the email through TubeNet, so maybe you didn't get it? If you want me to send you a real email, you'll need to PM me your email address, otherwise I have to use the form on here.
As for the pics, my university just switched over/updated the servers and have yet to tell us the new addresses, etc. I should have them back to normal in a couple of days. I'll email IT and tell them to get their butts in gear w/ the new instructions.

Drow,
I'm sorry about asking you again about your reply to my initial questions to you. I haven't received anything from the TubeNet site about PMs or e-mail.
In case you didn't receive my regular e-mail through a PM, here it is for you to send a private note to me: demott@frontiernet.net.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy your tubas just as much as I do with mine.

Hank, I emailed you!
There we go, the pictures are back to working again. My email to our IT department uncovered a huge problem that they had yet to notice. When they moved/updated our new servers, 1/3 of the personal websites on campus got their addresses messed up. However, they fixed it (obviously).

I'd discourage the Walt Johnson case, unless you're planning to travel soon and often. Those things are very heavy and very big. The chances of the tuba fitting the locker are very slim, unless you have a very big one.
or, your dad get the WJ and then you get a gigbag. Dragging around a Walt Johnson case is not fun at all.

I have a cheap-o gig bag that I'm going to use for a bit until I get another couple of paychecks, then I'm going to order a Cronkhite. Everyone recommended the WJ cases, though, and I wouldn't have any idea what else to get anyway! I have experience with a Custom cases, and I didn't like it at all. I don't even know where else to find a case for my PT-6 anyway, and I'll need it for traveling purposes eventually. I might be going on a trip this X-mas break in fact
