Probably the same reason it calls for a few trumpets and violins. That is how is was orchestrated.

how-2 if you can't get the link to connect with Real Player

On the page with the link to the concert stream, right-click the button with the link and copy the link ("copy link location" in some browsers). Open Real Player, go to the file menu, and choose OPEN. Paste the link and hit enter. It may take a minute or more to connect, but it will eventually begin with the pre-concert narration, and then the whole concert comes through. 8)

Thanks, GC! I did it that way and it took all of 30 seconds loading. Wonder why it wouldn't jump?

It worked for me. I used Microsoft's Digial Plus Analog Recorder to record it realtime as it played to an WMA file that I loaded into my Ipod for future listening.
