PT Comes Clean:

Thanks to Crozet Duplantier for alerting to today's on-air admission by Performance Today of their April Fool's charade about a "5 3/4-year-old" tuba phenom.

Visit http://www.yourclassical.org/programs/performance-today, click on the 2nd hour audio playback of the program. If you click below the arrow in the lower right hand corner, you'll be able to isolate specific times of the program. At approximately 1/4 through, immediately following the Chopin Polonaise, the announcer says,
Earlier this week, we featured a PT Young Artist in Residence--with special emphasis on the word, "young."
Then there is a segment of the Persichetti solo and an excerpt of Fred Child's interview of "Coco Wieprecht."

At the end of the segment, the announcer acknowledges TubeNet. Is that a first for our illustrious forum?

At http://www.yourclassical.org/story/2015 ... -wieprecht, you can click on "Coco Wieprecht Interview" to hear Wednesday's feature. Click on "Coco Wieprecht Reveal" to hear Fred Child interview Evan Clark, a former PT intern, who was the real performer of the Persichetti:
