I'd be game for that for sure. What software, if any, is needed? I have mics, interface, etc.

I will get a list of guidelines together for everyone when the time is right. No software necessary, though if you have the ability to record separate HQ audio, that’s great. Otherwise, I suspect most people will record a simple video on their phone.

What I've done lately is use a good mic/Audacity, then combine it with a video in which I played along with the recording in iMovie. But I'm up for trying new things, too.

That's the best way! No need to try anything new, LOL. But, most people do not have the technology or the knowledge to record in this way. Probably 20% of the video submissions received for that Nimrod video were separate HQ audio with a video. Everything else was just a phone or Zoom device recording.
