Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

and wehn Bill said that, people who do smoke it, laughed all around the world. It doesn't have the appealing scent of a cigar or good pipe tobacco. It won't make you a cowboy or a cool dromedary... you inhale it and you get high. That's a worse anser than saying, "no, wasn't interested." At least if you turn it down you're just not interested, not inhaling is like saying, I was too dumb to figure it out but I wanted to blend in.SplatterTone wrote:That is, of course, the way any good, honorable politician smokes his dope! And don't inhale!

I gotta do something about this fat ***

This last Christmas I went to Vietnam. I flew from San Francisco to Narita (Tokyo), changed planes. Then I flew from Narita to Singapore. I spent the night in Singapore and flew to Saigon the next day. I noticed something on the flights there. None of the planes allowed smoking. The airports at Narita, Singapore, and Incheon (Seoul--I flew home on a different route) had smokers' lounges just as we got out of the plane into the terminals! While I think smoking is a nasty, disgusting habit, I also believe that, if we are adults, we must take responsibility for ourselves. It often seems as though smokers are made out to be criminals. I have lost close friends and relatives to tobacco use.
My grad school tuba teacher, Ev Gilmore, formerly of the Dallas Symphony, was dignosed with four different cancers last March and died just a few weeks later. Ev really enjoyed smoking. Yes, it killed him. He was never rude about his smoking. I learned a lot from him. I miss him.

I think that's one that comes under one of Paul's catch-all phrases, "All things are legal, but not all things are beneficial."bloke wrote:Are there any Bible verses that specifically address smoking?
Are there any accounts of Jesus' life that absolutely state that he did not smoke?
