Hey, Toobist - that's like one year when I was in high school band camp, and, God love him, the bassoonist was just in over his head. He missed an important entrance, and the conductor stopped us and nicely said something like, Um, um that entrance - who missed it? In a similar low voice I said, "Buffoon," long on the "oo." The conductor said, "Yeah, that's it!" The giggling that had started broke out into full laughter by the whole band. The conductor had heard it as bassoon instead of buffoon, and was clueless. We all had to take five.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
