Jarrod, He played at King of Glory Lutheran in Dallas.

Other musicians of note performing on Easter were trumpeters Kevin Finamore and Ryan Anthony (yes, the one from Canadian Brass), hornist David Heyde, and a bass trombonist whose name escapes me at the moment. All of them have been a part of or are currently a part of the Dallas Symphony.
Organist/Music Director Mary Preston (also the DSO organist) was outstanding as usual as was the choir under her direction.
Great music overall, but I still must say that Rob Graham just blew me away.

Already posted in another thread, but what the heck.tbn.al wrote:and an interesting new commercial piece, Risen Alleluia, by Pote.
We done it Sunday. There are two hired trumpets -- one in high school, but otherwise it's just us work-for-free-every-Sunday amateurs. The handbells got clobbered. And I'm still working to make that 191 heard without sounding trashy. I've threatened to buy a sousaphone. I'm thinking I might need some $300 per hour lessons.

Things went surprisingly well. Played with a quintet for 2 services at a friend's Church. We stayed together on the Contrapunctus IX even though one of the trumpet players only rehearsed with us once. The only glitch was when one trumpet player tried a new descant part on one piece and realized that it was written in C after starting it on her D trumpet, so a few measures did not quite sound right
.
Had another concert in the afternoon with the community band outside in the botanical gardens. Other than being unseasonably cold, it was fun and we had a very appreciative audiance.
