Here's another presentation of Prof. Jörg Wachsmuth playing the Reisentuba, posted on New Year's Day 2013, with TV introduction in German:

I don't speak German very well, but did I hear them say that it costs 130,000 Euro?

If so, that's a LOT of money. Now, I'm sure that it's an expensive tuba to make. But more than anything, it sounds like the manufacturer saying "we don't want to make another one!" :P

Americans not knowing German: Please always spell the German ei and ie constellations counterintuitively, as that is your only way of getting the right spelling. I went to the link and looked in vain for a Reisentuba, which means a travel tuba. Assumedly a miniaturized instrument in the sense of the Martin Backpacker plucked strings. What I saw was the Riesentuba.

I wonder how many farts per minute i.e wavelengths, that 4th valve cranks out. :lol:
