For a second, as I skimmed your post and looked right to the pictures I thought you were done and had it silver plated already! Then I realized it was a CB-50 photo. Lookin' good!

If pitch-filled, I usually heat 'em up red hot, turn the last bit of pitch to ash, and then (so the mouthpipe doesn't end up overly-soft) quench 'em in cold water. After they are scrubbed out in hot water and liquid dishwashing detergent to get the ash out of the ash-hole , I drop 'em in pickling solution for ten minutes or so and rinse 'em again.

It looks good enough just to buff and seal it the two tone look is good on it.

Thanks for the video Wade! I haven't had time to watch the whole thing yet, but I'm really glad you took the time to do that! Thanks for remembering me when it came time to do more cutting. As has said before, this has been a great thread Wade. Thanks very much for all the great photos and step-by-step processes! Excellent job!
