Yup. The King 26 was one of a handful of mouthpieces I took to the shop that fateful day. I liked the "chunkieness" of it; it's heavy mouthpiece without being a soup can (or torpedo or whatever). In the pictures below, you can see that I modeled my exterior design (again, thicker walls but not too heavy) after the 26. My first design, the MF1, also has the same deep bowl-shaped cup with a very round bottom and pronounced entry to the throat. The rim of my King 26, however, is not round and "puffy" like a 24AW, but rather flat though still somewhat wide. I changed this a little for the MF1, keeping the generous width but adding a very slight "crown" to the rim to make it a little rounder (not nearly like the Bach) and in my opinion more comfortable. This should be evident in the side view photo below.Jeffrey Hicks wrote:I believe from when I discussed with Mike Finn that the MF-1 is very close to a King 26.LJV wrote:Aren't the Finn mouthpieces based on the King 26? I seem to remember that from the foggy, distant past.

So... if you're looking for something pretty close to a King 26, you might give the MF1 a try.
