Yes! These too. Even when they're right they're wrong.

I had a mid-eighties Mirafone 188 CC in college which played amazingly well in tune. I sold it around 8 years ago. I sure do miss that horn.....

But to be fair, Three Valves presumably died too, in his previous life. As was all too common for people in those days.

Not to get us further off topic (ha!) but doesn't Chopin remind you of Christopher Walken in that photo? I wonder what Chopin thought of cowbells?

He may have been too busy "doing other stuff" to tink about 'em ...

Just to be contrary to bloke - the most in-tune tuba I've played (haven't played many, but of those I have,) isn't for sale. (I just bought it) :D its a Rudy 4345, and is the most point & shoot horn I've ever had. And it has that Rudy sound. Just not as much of it as my 5/4.

:tuba:
Rudy RMC50
Rudy 4345R
Mira 181-6GB
Gronitz BBb Kaiser (for sale)
Custom Kanstul 1662
King 4B
York pea-shooter
French Tuba in C

I have a feeling that this will be my "go-to" horn for the foreseeable future. It's much easier to play than the big Rudy, and fills the hall better than the F. I think I may have gotten lucky on this one. - - I 've just gotten a Profundo Helleberg rim that I'm going to try on it tonight, hopefully it will work as well as the cup extender did. --
