Link to the panel of judges has been added. Registration dates also added. Hotel information release has been pushed back till the 28th of September.

I forgot to mention that Demondrae Thurmond will be the featured soloist and the Gala Concert. If you haven't heard him, you need to.

Some more NABBA information

Post by GC »

There is now a list of accompanists for hire for the solo competition on the main Championships page. https://nabba.org/championships/

There is also a comment in the Solo competition rules that players who do not list an accompanist will not receive any scheduling accommodations.

The NABBA registration links are now open on the Championships page. https://nabba.org/championships/ This is where to go to register bands, or to register for solo or ensemble spots. You must have a NABBA membership to register.

Contest rules update for NABBA Championship

Post by GC »

There is a newly updated version of the Contest Rules on the Championships web page: https://nabba.org/championships/. The changes are under the Band Rules and Regulations section part 5, which governs allowed instrumentation.

At the end are a sheet outlining scoring methodology for bands, and sample score sheets for the solo and ensemble competitions.

There may be other changes than these, but they're the only ones I'm aware of.
