I use a Josef Klier 2A on my B&S. It's very similar to a Miraphone C3 except the inner diameter is a bit wider...which is good because my jaw structure needs a slightly wider mouthpiece. I have a good friend who plays the C3 on his vintage B&S and it sounds GREAT. It makes a good sound for me, but like I said, my face needs something a little bigger. The 2A fixed A LOT of problems that I was having with response and intonation.

However, I recently purchased a Laskey 30C since I use the 30H on my CC and wanted to try to have a more consistent feel on my face as far as the rims go. I REALLY like the results with the Laskey. Time will tell if this is the mouthpiece for me.

I would recommend trying all 3 of these:

Josef Klier 2A
Miraphone C3
Laskey 30C

When I saw Bob Tucci in 2000, I also asked about a good mouthpiece for my PT-10, which dates to about 1985. I was interested in the PT-64, but, in his newest-is-better way, he insisted that the PT-20 mouthpiece was better, and that the same mouthpiece with a separate designation of "1" (this number appears on the shank) was better yet. I still haven't been able to try a 64 or 65, but I have been happy with this mouthpiece. For solo and small ensemble playing, it produces as even a sound between registers as I have been able to achieve. For full-volume playing in orchestra, though, I go back to the Miraphone C-3, which does sound very nice under these circumstances.

Everyone is different, but on my old B&S Symphonie, I really like the Mike Finn 4.
