I own a PT15, PT3, PT6 and MW2165. I love them all very very much. In the process now of buying a house. Money is very tight.. I really don't want to sell any of them but I might just let the PT6 or 2165 go for the right price. Both are amazing horns with very special qualities. Feel free to make an offer. IF there are no really good offers I'll just keep all four and be content. Each fills their niche very nicely.

How is the 3302 doing?

The Zeiss is a good horn. With the original clockspring valves, it's pretty durable -- just plop it in the trunk & go. Plays more in tune than the 186's that my school bought while I was there, and after annealing the bell it sounds even darker than before.

I bought it from Nate Griffith, who had bought it as part of a set of 5 from a local high school. The worst was used as parts to rebuild the other four, and mine is #3 in terms of "niceness". Right now, I'm letting one of the other Marines use it for occasional tuba playing.

I rarely need to play the 3302 anymore, but whenever I do, I'm impressed by how well it plays. It didn't take me nearly as long as I feared to get my BBb chops back for the President's Own audition (we returned from our West Coast tour just a week prior to that day), and I don't think it held me back. I'm happy with the purchase.

I have slowed down acquisition, but I didn't include my valve trombones (6 of various styles including a flugabone and trombonium), euphoniums (4 including 1 double bell), or all of the other cornets, flugelhorns, trombones, and altos (still no trumpets). I think next will be a bass, either guitar or upright, or maybe both, to get back to my string roots. having started on cello.

just 1 - an Amati ABB323 - an inexpensive horn, good for community band, TubaChristmas, etc.
