Anyone ever rent a tuba in Santa Fe or Albuquerque?
Seems to be very few shops down there, much less with a tuba of any kind to rent out for a couple days.

I have never seen a "rental" tuba, ever, anywhere, except for one really small, three-valved BBb beater at one shop in Texas in the 1990s. Most shops will not rent *any* instrument except on a yearly basis, and most would never consider tubas as they get severely beat up and cost way too much to risk loss.

Good luck in your search. Maybe someone will rent to you, but there is very little out there in the first place. It might be easier to find something in Seattle and then take it down there with you. And I doubt you will find anything in Seattle, either.

You might do better to check with a local community band to see whether they have a member who might rent you a personally owned tuba.
