My Canadian Brass Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece fits too far in my Nirschl EEb. I assume that I need a Euro shank. Did they make that mouthpiece with a euro shank? If not, what is the closest mouthpiece out there with a euro shank?
Thanks.

I just received a Denis Wick 'Heritage' 2.5 CC, which fits my B&S "Neptune" perfectly. The "CC" series of Heritage tuba mouthpieces have Euroshank. This Denis Wick mouthpiece comparison chart says that the 2.0 CC is comparable to the Warburton A.J. model. However, with its narrower rim, I'm not sure that the 2.5 wouldn't be closer. I've never played the Canadian Brass "A.J." model, so I don't have an opinion. But I think these Denis Wick ones will get you close.

Another option, of course, is that Joe Sellmansberger (Bloke) will get you pretty close with one of his three piece 'Blokepiece' units in stainless steel.

I bought my PT's directly from Germany ( via
https://www.perantucci.com/) and their standard shank is Euro (no suffix), but they also do American standard ("s" suffix) shank. I see that their CB AJ has an "s" suffix, but it's worth contacting (
info@perantucci.com) them directly, if you already have not. They speak fluent English, of course. They may do what you want......?
The info Bob Tucci sent to me said PT has x3 shank sizes, so you never know your luck (

Frank,
The Canadian Brass Heritage Series Arnold Jacobs model is very successful. This uses the RT "S" or "American" shank. Due to various requests, a large shank version will be available late July. FYI, the RT-45 uses the same cup design and is available from stock as the RT-45 large and RT-45S small shank mouthpiece.

I want Mr. Tucci and others know that I still use my Tucci RT-50+ (Euro) on my Neptune for the 1920's/'30s society jazz orchestra I rehearse with. I like the Wick 2.5 CC for our jazz brass quintet, as well as in smaller concert bands.

Barry, Many thanks for your comments. Here in Europe, our Heavy Shell mouthpieces, the 50+ and 88+ in particular, sell very well.
Best Regards, Bob
