Identify a horn?

Post by Beervangelist »

Hello Tubenet - it's been a while.

I got this picture in text from someone unfamiliar with tubas. I'm wondering if there's enough here for you sleuths to identify it.
He relayed it was Made in Elkhart, IN.

Any thoughts?

It could be this, or something similar to it. Conn made a number of tubas under different names.

Looks like a Conn "Pan American" BBb tuba from the 1930s or thereabouts.
